This film follows the artist Kate Malone at her studio in London, England, as she builds a group of large scale ceramic pots for an exhibition.
Kate undertakes large scale public projects, one-of-a-kind ceramics and “playful projects”.
It is fascinating to see the process of creating large scale projects.
Also interesting in the video are Kate’s thoughts on the importance of the relationship with her art dealer, and how this positive relationship has influenced her art:
“[Adrian Sassoon, the art dealer] has pulled out of me a confidence or a need to produce more and more flambouyant work, more and more intense work, more and more exciting work. And I really feel that the relationship with him as an art dealer, finances aside, has been a great pleasure because it really has encouraged me to be a more productive artist, and to work in the way that I do, which I really enjoy.”

Video by William Taylor. Excellent work.

I forgot to say congratulations on putting together a good informative site, thanks for linking to my e mail…
